The terms and conditions listed below are for business customers. We do not have consumer terms and conditions, as these are determined by specific legislation, the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994, and the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

Terms of Business

1. EU residents pay the VAT inclusive price (VAT at appropriate rate, currently 17.5%). Non-EU/exempt pay the exclusive price.
2. Payment accepted by credit/debit card, bank transfer/draft, or cash.
3. Personal cheques over £1,000 and business cheques take up to 14 days to clear. Express clearance available at a small charge.
4. 'Buy now, pay later finance' available subject to status. Details available on request.
5. We do not warrant the suitability of goods for a particular purpose, and the customer should check specifications and suitability before ordering.
6. Goods are not sold on a trial basis.
7. Goods are offered subject to being unsold. In the event of non-availability of goods, we reserve the right to rescind the contract.
8. All goods remain the property of Portables Direct Ltd until paid for in full.
9. Prices and manufacturer specifications are subject to change without notice. Minor specification variations do not entitle the purchaser to rescind the contract. Prices may change because of currency fluctuations.
10. Claims for damage, non-functionality and mis-shipping must be made within 48 hours of receipt of goods. During this period, if goods need to be returned, Portables Direct will pay for the collection.
11. After this date, the customer is responsible for ensuring return of goods.
12. A restocking fee of up to 25% is charged on returns, which prove to be non-ective.
13. When the warranty is on Retun-to-Base basis, the customer is responsible for ensuring return of faulty goods. Otherwise the customer must use any manufacturer or on-site arrangements provided.
14. All returns must be in stock condition and be authorised by Portables Direct Ltd.
15. No opened software will be accepted for credit.
16. The customer is responsible for ensuring safe delivery of the returned item.
17. We are not responsible for any consequential loss or expenses, howsoever caused, including incidental returns costs.
18. If part of these terms is found to be unlawful, it shall not affect the validity of the remainder.
